The Lares Valley is one of the most pictures in the southern part of Cusco, home of many traditional weavers and farmers. The people live day to day, growing and knitting what they eat and wear. Each day is reasonably paced with ample time to enjoy the incredible scenery, to walk is hard but this is incredibly compensated with the landscape, lunch alongside cascading waterfalls, appreciate the life of the Andean farmer and why not we could share time with them to tell us about their activities, this with help of guide.

This 'Authentic Quechua trek' treks through Andean communities of Huacahuasi, Kiswarani, Cuncani, Patacancha and Willoq, reaching the village of Aguas Calientes where you will then visit Machu Picchu.
To get to the start of the trek requires a bus or van trip of approximately 5 hours from the town of Lares. The Lares trek route transverses typical beautiful, pristine Peruvian Andean mountain areas.

This remote and rarely visited region offers the trekker an insight into the real lives of the Andean farmer, dressed in their traditional brightly colored ponchos. You’ll have the opportunity to see thatched stone houses surrounded by herds of llamas and alpacas. Inside the houses you’ll see guinea pigs running loose.
